Frequently Asked Questions
ENGAGEMENT & WEDDINGS
Q. Will you travel to my wedding if it's out of town?
A: Yes! I love traveling and will travel almost anywhere in the world for your big day! There are additional costs for travel, but when you're ready to talk about your wedding, I'll send over a quote.
Q: How do I book an engagement session?
A: You can either fill out the form on the Contact page, or you can email me at DanaProvoPhotography@gmail.com.
Q: What if I don't have a location in mind for the photo shoot; will you recommend
A: I have some locations that I recommend for different types of photo shoots. We can always discuss different options that might work for your session.
Q: What if the weather is bad the day of my photo shoot?
A: The great thing about photography is that it can be done in any weather! If there is rain predicted for your outdoor shoot, we will wait until the day of to see how bad the rain is or bring an umbrella and use the rain to play in. Chances are there will be a period of time without rain that we can use for your photo shoot. If we are rained out, then we can reschedule your session within 7 days at no charge.
Q: Do you have recommendations for vendors?
A: Yes! I have lots of friends that might be able to help you with your event. Check them out here.
HORSE & RIDER
Q: Should I bathe my horse right before the photo shoot?
A: A clean horse makes for beautiful, shiny photographs. You should expect to bathe your horse the day before, or the morning before your session and allow enough time for your horse to dry. You want to apply any hoof dressing or coat shine at least twenty minutes before your session to allow enough time for drying (do not wipe the coat shine after spraying).
Q: Can I ride bareback without my helmet for some photos?
A: Riding in your session is completely up to you, though if you do choose to ride, you should follow the guidelines of your barn regarding safety and helmets.
Q: What if my horse is misbehaving or lame, can we reschedule?
A: If your horse is having a bad day or is misbehaving, I will do my best to continue with the shoot. Photo shoots need to be rescheduled 24 hours in advance, but in the event your horse is injured, we can reschedule the photo shoot. The non-refundable retainer that you paid will be transferred to the new day. .
